POLYCRETE® Jacking Pipes

Pipe jacking is cost-efficient and environmentally friendly. That is why it has enjoyed a buoyant development over the past few years world-wide and reached a superior technical standard by now.
The conditions for underground pipe jacking require a jacking pipe quality that is hardly found on earth: POLYCRETE® jacking pipes made by MEYER are corrosion resistant and offer more than enough axial compressive strength to withstand the jacking forces.
The material: reactive resin moulding material with filler.
The material properties and pipe dimensions are specified in DIN 54815.
POLYCRETE® jacking pipes made by MEYER are noted for their:
- high compressive strength = high jacking forces plus large security factor
- smooth, even, non-absorbent exterior surface = minimum friction during jacking
- exactly parallel pipe faces = even pressure transfer
- extremely tight tolerances
- optimum elasticity = lower breaking risk
- low weight = easy handling
- size made to order = use with any pipe jacking machinery
- complete system = Caisson shafts, POLYCRETE® jacking pipes and POLYCRETE® system manholes from one source
- smooth, even inner surface = large flow capacity
- good corrosion resistance = long life and reliable service
- certified strength under pulsating stress = general approval by Deutsche Bahn AG (German Rail) for POLYCRETE® jacking pipes up to diameter DN 1200
The kite-shaped profile has the best of both, circular and egg-shaped profile. During dry weather periods this pipe has a higher scouring velocity than pipes with a circular cross-section, thus improving self-cleaning.
